Here's a timeline of my experience. If you're thinking, what's wrong with using Linkedin like everyone else?

You'd be right, which is why its here as well, Shaun McCran on Linkedin.

Now!

Principal Enterprise Architect

Adobe

I joined Adobe as an Enterprise Architect, helping partners to build successful practices to implement and 'run and operate' Adobe solutions in customer environments. I spend a lot of time drawing boxes and string (applicable togaf!) with Partners and Customers, putting together strategy with them across the Adobe Experience Cloud solutions to solve their business problems. I do this across sales opportunities and within existing solutions to drive additional customer value from investments.

I also spend quite a bit of time creating best practice guides on Adobe software and integrating it, hosting Webinars, for sales plays and technology deep dives, and creating solution exams to drive developer and architect certifications.

Exams are fun! Who knew!

02/2014 - 12/2016

Customer Domain Architect

Nationwide Building Society

My role at Nationwide was one of leading Design and Governance processes across a series of projects, all aimed at improving customer facing solutions. Working across a portfolio of £15m+ across a dozen projects, including a new Digital Vault, Internet Banking Login and authentication processes, Adobe Campaign for real-time messaging, and NPS survey systems.

This was a relatively new Architecture practice, so there was a lot of defining the Architecture process, designing solutions for asset management (IBM Rational Asset manager), Service oriented Architecture (SOA) inside Software AG's CentraSite and Business Process modelling using ARIS modelling tools.

02/2012 - 01/2014

Domain Architect, CRM & CVM

Vodafone

Unica and Oracle Siebel Customer Relationship Management and Customer Value Management Architect. A lot of Governance and Assurance over delivery partners, such as Accenture and Wipro. Every change request costs money!

I also led an improvement program across the fraud, IDV and PCI DSS solutions, mostly implementing Transact IDV Credit scoring and anti-fraud services.

12/2009 - 02/2012

Technical & Presales Architect

The Direct Agency (TDA)

Digital agency Architect role, building and designing content managed websites. Very self-starter mentality, no rules, late nights, evangelising our solutions to customers, scoping projects and leading the delivery team.

10/2008 - 11/2009

Digital Architect

Ventro Media Group

Social media platform Architect. Interesting space to focus on a fast-growing platform, really delving into scalability, resilience and database performance.

09/2007 - 10/2008

Architect / Project lead

Quadratek

This was a really interesting military intelligence software development role. DV security cleared, can't say anymore. Shh.

05/2006 - 08/2007

Senior Developer / Architect

Europa Group

Helped Architect and build out early whitelabel insurance aggregate solutions. The early days of Confused.com, Gocompare and a series of Motorcycle insurance sites all came from the same place.

Great experience building dynamic multi-brand solutions. Also, this was the early days of API driven solutions, so there was a lot of fun to be had building out Webservices and APIs as service layers.

01/2005 - 05/2006

Senior Developer

E Register / Helphire

My first real project lead role, building out Content Management systems and retail assistance applications, like insurance applications, valuation applications and aftercare sales applications.

11/1999 - 05/2004

Software Developer

Arval PHH / Cendant / Allstar

This is where I cut my teeth in a formal IT role, hired by the Marketing department to create early customer facing websites and online apps. Fun times as a trainee developer, working across half a dozen languages.
